Learn to weave a small ‘mug mat’ in wool yarn. Using a simple wooden board, you will set up a loom with a warp, then weave a weft yarn with a bodkin.
A class for beginners, starting with basic skills you will weave in a plain weave, with opportunities to explore simple patterns through colour.
Instructions for how to finish the top and bottom edge of the mat will be included for when it is ready to be removed from the loom.
Mary will demonstrate, offer help and provide supporting materials to take home as a reminder for later. The class includes a simple wooden loom, a wooden fork beater, a bodkin and yarn to get you started.
